Virus.Fontra.C is a worm that spreads its infection through shared folders of peer-to-peer file sharing applications. Virus.Fontra.C was created to infect executable and .EXE files, in folders which are associated with file sharing applications. Virus.Fontra.C installs and executes remote files that will perform malevolent acts in the PC's system. The Virus.Fontra.C worm enters your computer without your knowledge. Virus.Fontra.C has the ability to proliferate itself through emails, CD's, DVD's and pirated software. Virus.Fontra.C is also known as W32/Vbbot (Mcafee), Virus.Win32.Fontra.c (Kaspersky), Virus.Win32.Fontra.c (F-Secure), W32/Fontra-F (Sophos), Virus/Delf.ATB (Grisoft) and Win32/VB.NJQ (Eset). to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup. Type
"regedit" into the
box, and click
"OK".
Search for the registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Virus.Fontra.C."
Right-click it and select
"Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other
files to clean your PC of Virus.Fontra.C. These Virus.Fontra.C
can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Virus.Fontra.C
might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Virus.Fontra.C\Virus.Fontra.C.exe.
Locate and remove these files.
